New service for members: ASCI Supply Chain Careers

New service for members: ASCI Supply Chain Careers

Professionalising Supply Chain Management

Sydney, 05 April 2018: Australasian Supply Chain Institute (ASCI) is pleased to announce ASCI Supply Chain Careers – a new online site allowing for ASCI corporate members and individual members to share career opportunities and to seek career pathways within the local supply chain community.

ASCI, formerly apicsAU, is a premier non-profit, professional membership community that facilitates and enables the development and professionalisation of the Australasian Professional Supply Chain Community.

"At ASCI, we are developing a framework to make available an industry wide registration for supply chain managers and industry practitioners. Hence, while recruitment is not our core service to members, it is strongly linked to our vision to professionalise supply chain management as we guide our members towards registration,” said Dr Pieter Nagel, CEO, ASCI.

The ASCI Supply Chain Careers site is powered by Australia’s largest independent recruitment aggregators, however, it has been refined to be completely dedicated to supply chain careers. This curation allows for members to seek the very best roles without having to navigate through social media sites or listings. It allows them to receive push notifications from selected companies to watch those companies’ supply chain career opportunities more closely.

The new site also supports the next generation of supply chain graduates, and other supply chain practitioners seeking employment, with a free resume upload.

“ASCI supports next generation supply chain practitioners by offering free membership to students. The next step in their involvement with ASCI is to gain employment into the community. The resume profile feature is the ideal opportunity for students to utilise for free, way before they graduate from their supply chain degrees,” said Dr Nagel.

Corporate Members, within their ASCI membership subscription, receive free job postings that will be featured on the site for prime positioning and branding. The site also features a dedicated company profile where they can demonstrate their employee value proposition.

"The market is currently suffering from a candidate shortage in supply chain. Talent pools are difficult to source. The ASCI Supply Chain Careers site will add significant value to our members both individual and corporate as they bolster sophisticated supply chains in the coming years,” said Dr Pieter Nagel.

Other features to the ASCI Supply Chain Careers site will include blogs; employment and salary reports and vital information about ASCI Professional Registration; ASCI Practitioner Registration and how members can upskill to meet tomorrow’s supply chain demands.

Subscription to the ASCI Supply Chain Careers site is available outside an ASCI Corporate membership. Prices range from $50 AUD for one job and up to $1,500 AUD for unlimited jobs and being a featured company.
