Australasian Supply Chain Institute forms partnership with AME Australia

Sydney, 27 September 2017: Australasian Supply Chain Institute (ASCI) and AME Australia are pleased to announce that they have formed a partnership to bring another facet of industry expertise and professional development opportunities to ASCI members and offer AME members access to the ASCI professionalisation initiatives.

ASCI is a non-profit, membership community providing leadership and innovation, education and training and professional development for the Australian supply chain, procurement and logistics industry.

The partnership with AME Australia follows partnership agreements which ASCI has made with GS1 Australia, Women in International Shipping and Trading Association, Women & Leadership Australia, Akolade, Vertical Talent, and amalgamations with Australian Chamber of International Trade, Logistics Association of Australia, and the Lean Network.

AME Australia is the premier ‘Operational Excellence’ association in Australia. AME helps small, medium and large business enterprises understand, optimise and improve capability and business performance to deliver and maintain long-term sustainable improvement.

As ASCI moves towards its new initiative, it is forging partnerships with associations to enrich the experience and opportunities of the supply chain community. The partnership between ASCI and AME includes joint events, resources and the contribution towards ASCI’s CPD program.

Dr Pieter Nagel, CEO, ASCI, says that as an Institute, ASCI is committed to providing and supporting the development and professionalisation of the Australasian Supply Chain Community.

“ASCI’s Continuous Professional Development program is gaining significant momentum as the go-to industry program for all supply chain practitioners – including the operations, supply and logistics subsectors. Through our leading collaboration efforts, ASCI is able to enrichen its CPD program with meaningful, relevant and focussed learning opportunities for ASCI members. We’ve worked informally with AME for a number of years and the announcement today is an exciting step to further strengthening our CPD program. We’re proud to make this announcement today.”

Under the partnership, ASCI members will be able to receive CPD points at relevant AME events and also, be offered a 10% discount when registering. Likewise, AME members will be able to receive a 10% discount when registering for ASCI events and be offered acess to the unique professionalisation initiatives ASCI has on board.

According to Guy Bulmer, AME Australia, National President, ASCI’s partnership will provide great benefit.

“Partnering with ASCI has been a great step for AME to provide our members with all that ASCI has on board to offer. This partnership allows both parties to work together to help ensure that latest industry developments and best practice global supply chain trends are brought to our members across Australia. We are not only excited to welcome ASCI Members to our events but also give our own members the opportunities to access ASCI events, in this unique collaboration.”
