Maintaining Professional and Practitioner Registration

Registered Professionals and Practitioners are required to maintain, improve and broaden their knowledge, expertise and competence, and develop the personal and professional qualities required throughout their professional lives by participating in Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

Professionals and Practitioners who are engaged in any form of practice/employment are therefore required to participate regularly in CPD events that are relevant to their scope of practice in order to maintain, develop, update and enhance their knowledge, skills and performance to help them perform their professional duties. 

Records of attendance of these CPD events, need to be uploaded against the individual registrant's profile, on the ASCI Members Portal. In this way, all CPD records will be kept safe and backed up by the ASCI system. In the case of ASCI events, an ASCI Member's participation will be recorded after confirmation of attendance of the event and the associated CPD points will automatically be uploaded against the member's profile. In the case of a third party, yet an ASCI endorsed event, registrants are required to upload a Certificate of Attendance of these activities and/or event to be able to maintain their CDP Records on the ASCI Members Portal. In order to ensure consistency with the registration standards, only ASCI events and third-party events formally endorsed by ASCI will be eligible for maintaining Registration.
