Making MRO Supply Chains Relevant in a Digital Economy

Smart Conference award winning Maintenance Repairs & Operation supply system

Don't miss this showcase event!

Learn from Roy Hill's transformational journey involving advanced planning & scheduling, innovation, disruptive technology, demand driven planning, asset management, predictive analytics, supply chain performance metrics, network design and process improvement.

First you will hear from Mike Lomman about the unique Roy Hill Operating Model and Systems Thinking approach. Mike will explain how he led the design of Roy Hill's operating model, covering different systems at Roy Hill, will explain systems thinking in general & cover the core disciplines of planning scheduling and execution. Mike has incorporated learning from the seminal works of Edward Deming (System of Profound Knowledge) and the work of Elijah Goldratt (Theory Of Constraints) also features in the Roy Hill Operating Model and he will share some of the learnings of his journey over last six years in developing the model.

Next you will hear from Indrasen Naaidoo about the re-design of the Roy Hill MRO supply chain. This initiative won the 2017 Smart Conference, SMART Award (the 1st ever from WA!) for exceptional performance with an emphasis upon innovation and successful business strategy implementation. Roy Hill designed their Integrated Operating Model to transform the supply chain for maintenance, repairs and operations materials to a digital MRO supply chain. By applying supply chain thinking from traditionally more agile and cutting edge industries to develop their supply chain integration, agility and real time monitoring, Roy Hill has optimised system performance and minimised the bullwhip effect at this thought leading company in the traditionally staid mining industry.

Furthermore, hear from change management expert, Karen Livey, on how neuroscience can enable people to cope with change and how this can be used to engage and develop staff to be ready for a world disrupted by technology.  As well as the technical side of “systems based thinking” Roy Hill recognises the crucial role people play in the design & implementation of their supply chain success resulting in organisational transformational change. Roy Hill places great emphasis on giving employee’s learning opportunities & the mind-set to future proof themselves through lifelong learning so necessary in the world of digital disruption that we find ourselves living & working in today.

ASCI Members should not miss out on this fantastic learning experience!
