The ASCI Professionalisation Initiative

Australasian Supply Chain Institute (ASCI) has announced its plan to facilitate supply chain management professional status in Australasia under the ASCI Initiative. The ASCI Initiative reflects ASCI’s enhanced value proposition to facilitate and enable the development and professionalisation of the Australasian Supply Chain Community.

In 2017, the ASCI Initiative will establish specialist review panels, including:

Supply Chain Management Body of Knowledge Technical Review Panel – to develop, review and maintain the Supply Chain Management Body of Knowledge to support aligning education programs

Ethics Review Panel – to review and oversee the maintenance of the ASCI Code of Ethics and develop a Professional Integrity Management System

Risk Review Panel to review the historical risk profile of the “Profession” and the contribution supply chain management makes to business at large. Results from this study will become the basis for establishing a Professional Indemnity Scheme

These panels will provide the foundation required to pave the way for the professionalisation of supply chain management.

ASCI is calling for panel review members to offer their Expressions of Interest before the end of April 2017. Panelists must be current members of the ASCI community. To become an ASCI member, visit our membership page on our website for the full list of benefits.
